Danish number portability goes international

NeoConsult A/S has begun exports of the Danish model for porting telephone numbers from one telephone company to another. The flagship of Danish telecommunications liberalization, OCH A/S, is also involved in the expansion.

NeoConsult, the Danish software and consulting company, has recently improved the technology used in the official Danish number porting platform, OCH (Operators Clearing House), so it can now cope with the enormous amounts of data typically handled by international operators. NeoConsult will sell and market a complete solution consisting of a locally based OCH and NeoConsult’s proprietary ICH internal number portability system that is required by individual telecommunications companies.
